Innovation isn't just about having an idea, it's about how you handle that idea and make it work. Whilst research to improve our overall knowledge is important for our profession, research to improve the service for our customers is also vital to our company’s health. That is why both types of forensic science research can be found in our R&D programme.

Over the last 12 months we have published research into Cellulosic fibres and provided an innovative approach to the analysis of condom lubricants. We have several other projects nearing completion, ready for publication.

At Contact Traces we have lots of ideas as to how to improve our knowledge of trace evidence and how better to improve our services. As forensic scientists we possess a certain skill set which allows us to approach problems in a certain way. However we recognise that the challenges that face us can be of a complex nature, often requiring input from a wide range of disciplines and expertise. We would be delighted to hear from interested parties seeking collaboration on research projects in trace evidence.
